These Terms apply when you create an account or use the service.
1. Who can use it
The parent or guardian creating the account must be 18 or over.
The account belongs to the adult, not to the children taking part in the activities.
You are responsible for your account and the information and content you add to it.
2. The adventures
The Happiness Calendar suggests simple activities intended to help families spend time together.
Families are different. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for your children, circumstances, location, weather and surroundings.
If something doesn't feel right for your family, don't do it. Save it for another day or choose another adventure.
There is no requirement to complete every activity.
3. Photos and memories
You can choose to add photographs and short written memories to completed adventures.
Please only upload content you have the right to use and are comfortable storing in your family's private account. Take particular care with photographs containing children or other people.
Your photos and memories remain yours.
By adding them to The Happiness Calendar, you give us permission to store and process them only as necessary to provide features such as completed adventures and Our December.
We do not acquire ownership of your family photos or memories.
4. Your account
Please keep your login details secure.
You are responsible for activity through your account.
You can delete your account through Settings at any time.
5. Early/beta service
The Happiness Calendar is currently an early version of the product.
Features may change, improve or occasionally stop working as we learn from families using it.
We will take reasonable care in operating the service, but we cannot promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
6. Our content
The Happiness Calendar's original challenge content, writing, design, artwork, branding and software are owned by us or used with appropriate rights.
You may use them as part of your family's personal use of The Happiness Calendar.
You may not copy, extract or reproduce substantial parts of the challenge bank, design or service for commercial use or to create a competing product.
7. A small reality check
We hope The Happiness Calendar creates some brilliant family memories.
We can't guarantee that every challenge will suit every family — or that your children won't think some of them are ridiculous.
That's partly the point.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using The Happiness Calendar and delete your account at any time.
We may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users, prevent misuse, or comply with legal obligations.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it and your rights.
10. Changes
As this is an early product, these Terms may change as The Happiness Calendar develops.
If we make important changes affecting existing users, we will provide appropriate notice.
